Academics
Morning assembly of the school is an assembly with distinction. In the assembly, prayers of all religions are performed. Special assemblies are conducted round the year to celebrate all important days. Prize distribution and birthday celebrations are the integral part of morning assembly.
We have introduced a theme based assembly. Each week a theme is given to particular section, Students of that section present speech, self-composed poems, and thought for the day related to the theme. G.K. Quiz is conducted everyday to keep the students abreast with the current happenings around them in addition to the rich cultural heritage of our country.
March-Past is conducted twice a week in order to develop the spirit of solidarity and effective turnout of the students. Regular yoga classes are held in the school campus.
Academics Schedule and Medium of Instruction
At G.T.B. the students are motivated to aim high in life and strive hard to achieve it. The students are evaluated not only on the basis of an Annual Examination but under a year long assessment system as well. For KG and Primary section, a comprehensive evaluation system is followed instead of terminal system and it comprises cycle tests and surprise tests.For senior classes there are weekly tests and Terminal Examinations in each subject. The trends in the marks of each student are carefully analyzed with the help of latest software. The children are being taught all subjects in English medium.
Teachers Orientation Programme
Teachers Orientation Program are a regular feature of the school. Every year such programs/Seminars are conducted frequently to make the teachers aware of the latest methodologies and changes in the CBSE curriculum
Parent Teacher Meetings
A series of Parent-Teacher meets is held in the school for classes KG to XII. The attendance of the parents is mandatory. The Agenda of the meeting is :- Over all academic progress of the child, Discipline, Turn Out, Attendance, Parents Co-operation and Communication. The class teachers and the subject teachers apprise the parents about their wards performance in the class and how parents’ co-operation can bring about immense improvement in the academic performance of the child. The parents have close interaction with the Principal and teachers.
